Join us for an artist talk with Terry Evans, whose work is featured in Through the Lens: American Photographs from the Carter Collection. Evans grew up in Kansas and since the 1970s, has focused her lens on the Great Plains.  Through her deep engagement with prairies, Evans has attended to subjects such as evolving rural economies and lifeways, conservation, and industrial development. Evans will speak about her photographic practice and then be joined in conversation by Elise Armani, The Joslyn’s Assistant Curator of Twentieth-Century Art.
